Hello Beauty Industry Enthusiast and/or Future Student:

Thank you for your interest in our academy. We saw you were interested in one of our programs and want to help.

This email contains a lot of information on our programs, enrolling procedures, our hours, and financial aid. You may also text/call 724-625-3691 to speak to someone directly or you may email us at: enroll@foutainofyouthacademy.edu

HOURS WE ARE OPEN:

We are open Mon-Thurs 9-9, Fri 9-5, Sat 10-4 in Squirrel Hill.

Bellevue hours are 8-4 Monday thru Friday.

ATTENDANCE:

You can attend either school or both.

You can go part time or full time, but it is all FLEX TIME which means you make your own schedule during the hours we are open

START DATES:

New classes start every Monday – you can start as soon as your financial aid is complete and/or a payment arrangement has been made.

FINANCIAL AID:

Your program may qualify for financial aid. You will want to do your 22-23 FASFA and please use the DRT (Data Retrieval Tool) IRS BUTTON so you are not as likely to get selected for verification. It’s also best not to skip any of the questions.

Below is the link to FAFSA:

https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

In about 3 days we will get your FASFA report. It’s best to tourafter that so when you see the academy you can learn about your funding, too.

Verifications:

If you are chosen for some verifications-typically it is just a few signatures, although some additional documentation may be required.

The most common document required is a signed tax return or tax return transcript.

OFFICIAL Tax Return Transcripts (2020) and Wage and Labor Statements (2020) for verification are easy to retrieve by logging on to:

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Or going to the IRS office and/or calling them (412) 365-5667. They will ask verifying questions that were from your 2020 taxes or you may have to create a Real ID to log on if you don’t have a login already.

LAST FINANCIAL AID STEP:

Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN)

https://studentaid.gov/mpn

Complete Loan Counseling

https://studentaid.gov/entrance-counseling

Neither commit you to a school, but both are required to finalize your financial aid process

Our ESTHETICIAN, NAIL TECH AND COMBO PROGRAM:

Neither the Esthetician northe Nail Tech program taken individually qualifies for FEDERAL financial aid unless you do both together. The STATE does have a program called PA FORWARD that offers student loans at a reasonable rate. You do not have to start paying them off until 6 months after you graduate, but it is credit based. If you do not qualify you may be able to have a co-signer.

Below is the link to PA FORWARD:

We do have an Esthetician-Nail Tech Combo program that does qualify for Federal financial aid. With financial aid for most people it’s like getting the Nail Tech program for free (82% off).

The Esthetician program is $9,655. This includes: Books, laptop, online program, Mac Pro Cosmetics kit, Bella Lash training and Kit, Dermalogica Kit and training, Wood Lamp, wax kit, brow kit, supplies and more.

The Nail Tech program costs $5,655 which includes everything: kit, tuition, laptop, books, online program, and supplies

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma /transcript or GED

Currentdriver’s license or State ID or Passport

I recommend locating them now because if you are missing one or more it can take weeks or even months to get a replacement.

Download our app below and use the secure portal to upload them and your tax documents.

SCHEDULING A TOUR:

The link below is for scheduling a tour:

www.vagaro.com/fountainofyouthstudenttours

I recommend doing all of the above items prior to touring if possible (although, if you are not loving doing FASFA our Financial Aid team will do it for you on your tour)

If it is done before you come on the tour the Financial Aid Administrator will be able to go over your funding.
